Bisera Rakicevic-More, co-Director and a teacher at the School. Bisera graduated with MBA in International Management from MIIS. She has over 18 years of professional business experience in program management, business development and marketing working in educational and high-tech industries both in Europe and in the United States. Her interests are teaching, parenting, foreign languages, traveling, piano playing and reading.
Ana Borich, co-Director and a teacher for our youngest group, “Butterflies” (Leptirici). Ana graduated with a Mechanical Engineering degree from University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Ana has 7 year of Management Consulting experience specializing in Human Performance, Project Management and Business Strategy. Her hobbies include drama, graphical and interior design, photography, gardening, real estate and singing. She believes in learning though play and enjoys teaching ‘little people’ through singing, dancing, variety of interactive activities and story telling.
Boba Miladinov has been our teacher for 4 years for middle school students (7 to 11 years old). She is an engineer who loves to teach and train students; she has extensive corporate training and coaching experience in database and financial management. She enjoys volunteering with disabled people, traveling, theatre, reading, dancing, music, sports (skating, aerobic, hiking) and all activities that build communities.
Jelena Pesic is a professional elementary school teacher. She graduated with teaching credentials at the Pedagogic Academy in Negotin, Serbia. She has 10 years of combined international teaching experience. She loves to work with children; currently she is working on her Early Childhood Education Certification. Jelena leads our events planning and poetry recitation section.
Biljana Mandic teaches one of oldest kids groups. She graduated from the University in Belgrade with a degree in Literature and Serbo-Croatian Language. She worked for 10 years as a professor of Serbian Language and Literature. Biljana enjoys reading and traveling with her family.
John Ivancovich is our Bible Study teacher for students from grade 7 through high school and a Vice President of the Church Board of Directors. John is a graduate of the Santa Clara University School of Civil Engineering. He also holds an MBA. He is a corporate planner with extensive experience in local, state, national and international politics. John is a former Hollister City Councilman and Mayor. He is a cherry grower, with a devout interest in Orthodox Christianity. His goal in teaching Bible Study is to help our students to understand and develop the Orthodox Christian world view.
John Medan is a Product Manager for a San Jose software company. He has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Geography from San Francisco State University. He lives in San Jose with his wife Jelena and is the father or twins Stefan and Juliana. He has been teaching Sunday School at St. Archangel Michael for 3 years.
Predrag Jovic is an undergraduate student at San Jose State University working towards a BS degree in Accounting. He enjoys teaching Serbian lessons for the children who are new to the language. Pedja has been teaching at our Sunday School for 4 years. Pedja enjoys keeping the kids interested in learning by imbedding creative and innovative educational games though classes.
Sanja Prstojevic –Kajmakovic is our consultant for history classes. Sanja graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering from University in Sarajevo. She has 18 years of experience in the software industry working in Europe, Canada and USA. Sanja's special interests include traveling, sailing, reading and writing.
Dragica Kostic holds a degree in Psychology from Brooklyn College in New York. Dragica is an experience human resources professional. She currently serves as a member on the School Board Committee and as an educational consultant and contributor to our youngest group, "Butterflies” (Leptirici). Currently, her special interests are "being a mom", reading, and scrap booking.
